- Click the File menu.
- Click Import/Export.
- Click Export to a file and click the Next button.
- Check only Favorites (these are your bookmarks).
- Click the Next button.
- Click the Next button again.
- On the step where do you want to export your favorites? you will see a Type or browse to a file field.
- You may see the following path, you can leave it, or change the location by clicking the Browse button.

- Click the Export button.
- Click the Finish button.
- Click the File menu.
- Click Import/Export.
- Click Import from a file and click the Next button.
- Check only Favorites box.
- The next window Where do you want to import your favorites from? will appear.
- It should have the correct path saved from your export.
c:\users\[username]\Documents\bookmark.htm.
- If this is correct, it matches what you wrote down earlier then click the next button.
- Click Import button on the next screen.
- Click the Next button.
- Click the Finish button.
- When you click the Favorites menu in Internet Explorer, it should list your original bookmarks.
